Graduate Council’s Stance on Unionization:
Graduate Council passed a resolution of neutrality on the topic of graduate student unionization in the Fall; the full text can be read here in exhibit 3. In summary, we believe that student government’s role should be that of neutral educators. The biggest service we believe we can provide to students is to give them access to informed perspectives from both sides of the argument. This town hall is organized in that spirit, and encourages students to arrive at their own conclusions through critical thinking and discourse.
